Work placement or exchange in an anglophone country
Deutsche Version dieser Seite
The Cantonal School of Wetzikon offers its 5th class students (aged between 16 and 18) the opportunity to
a) participate in a(n unpaid) work placement in an English-speaking region or
b) attend a grammar school.
The students are required to work or attend school over a period of two weeks (10 working days or 10 school days), approximately 25 hours per week. However, the working hours or timetable may vary/be adapted (between 5 and 8 hours a day, depending on the type of work or the timetable set up by the host school).
The aim of this project is not only to create an environment of authentic immersion in which the students can use French, but also to offer them the opportunity to discover the specific cultural aspects of the language region chosen. In addition, it serves the development of the student’s personality.
Examples of work placement: The term ‘work placement’ is used in a broad sense. The placement can be undertaken in a company, in the hotel industry, in an adventure park, in a retirement home, on a farm or as an au pair, to name but a few.
